Strategic management is about determining the purpose and aims of an organisation, choosing the most appropriate course of action towards achieving those aims, and fulfilling the aims over a set period of time.

Chandler (1962) describes strategy as “the determination of basic long-term goals and objectives of an enterprise, and the adoption of course of action and the allocation of resources necessary to carry out those goals”

In this course Strategic Management for Beginner is material to learn about what are the strategy level of firm, and the implementation. It consisted of 5 module includes Strategic Management & Strategic Competitiveness, The External Environment, The Internal Organization, Business - Level Strategy, Competitive Rivalry and Competitive Dynamics. Each module will take 5-7 minutes with total time 30 minutes to finished all of them.

1. Strategic Management and Competitiveness : student will understand the competitive landscape; the resource-based model; the I/O model; vision and mission; and strategic leaders

2. The external environment : student will understand segments of the general environment; strategic groups; external environmental analysis; industry environment analysis; and competitor analysis

3. The Internal Organization : student will recognize The internal organization

4. Business - Level Strategy :student will understand types of business-level strategies; and the purpose of a business-level strategy

5. Competitive Rivalry and Competitive Dynamics : student will understand competitor analysis; competitive dynamics; and competitive rivalry

After the completion of all modules, it is expected that student able to explain, illustrate and apply the strategy management
