We do not intend to overwhelm you with theory. On the contrary, we will give you 100 handy tips for you to apply. The vocabulary used and the explanations provided are simple and straightforward.

Our target student is one that has not yet found the appropriate study techniques. Hopefully, at the end of the course, you will have learned which tools are the best for you.

Module 1 works on different forms of organisation that favour academic performance. It includes tips related to the organisation of homework, preparation for the class, for the exam, and ways of getting organised during the exam. Many academic difficulties arise from a lack of organization and this module focuses on solving that problem. The tips are systematised, ordered and their application in each case is clearly described.

Module 2 focuses on understanding what the teacher's expectations are and acting accordingly.

Module 3 focuses on different strategies to activate previous knowledge and detect useful elements for working with text and paratext. It also presents different ways of working in-depth on making notes in the text. It helps to identify connectors and all kinds of words to guide reading comprehension.

Module 4 works on the different ways of reducing a text: the summary, the synoptic table, the concept map, the card.

Module 5 reviews the different instructions that can appear in exercises and exams and the different response formats. The exposition-explanation format, the argumentative format, the oral examination and some brief tips for debate are analysed in detail.

Module 6 reflects on silent reading and reading aloud.
